The African Development Bank has named Dr. Oluwatomisin Adeola Fashina as Senior Director, Information Technology, and Chief Information Technology Officer, effective from January 16, 2024.

A Nigerian national, Dr. Fashina brings over 30 years of experience in technology and financial services management to this role. His most recent position was with Ecobank Group, where he served as the Group Executive for Operations and Technology and Managing Director for eProcess International since March 2021.
In this capacity, Dr. Fashina oversaw various functions, including information technology, customer experience, information security, business continuity management, cyber security, procurements, and fintechs across 34 Ecobank affiliates. He played a pivotal role in implementing digital transformation, customer experience enhancement, robotic process automation, and artificial intelligence projects.
Dr. Fashina initially joined Ecobank Group in 2016 as the Group Chief Information Officer and Managing Director for eProcess International, where he supervised overall technology functions, contributed to the digital strategy, and ensured technology service delivery to end customers. He was instrumental in establishing the Ecobank Software Center for managing software development, integration, and driving innovation.
Before joining Ecobank, Dr. Fashina served as Chairperson of Steward Bank in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 2013 to 2016, successfully turning the bank from loss to profit during his tenure. He also held leadership roles with ABSA Bank and Barclays Bank, with experience in general management, transactional banking products, channels management, cash management, and payments.
Dr. Fashina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Lagos, and a Ph.D. in Business Management from Capella University in Minnesota, U.S.
