NV5 Global, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVEE), a leader in compliance, technology, engineering, and environmental consulting solutions, has announced the award of $10 million in contracts by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to support major infrastructure projects across the state.

“NV5’s DOT Growth Initiative, launched in 2023, ensures our top engineers and technical experts are closely engaged with clients to deliver exceptional technical solutions,” said Dickerson Wright, PE, Executive Chairman of NV5. “Having partnered with NCDOT for over 25 years, our expanded role reflects our dedication to providing high-quality support for North Carolina’s transportation infrastructure.”
The contracts include:
- $4 million for the NCDOT Rail Division’s Raleigh to Richmond (R2R) Roadway Design Project: Over the next five years, NV5 will handle roadway and drainage design, utility coordination, and cost estimating services. This project is partially funded by the Federal Railroad Administration’s Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) grant awarded to NCDOT in 2022.
- $4 million for the NCDOT Western Region: This two-year contract involves supporting transportation infrastructure development, conducting project plan reviews, and producing technical reports. NV5 will also act as a general engineering consultant to review designs and assist in project delivery.
- $2 million for the NCDOT Comprehensive Environmental Analysis Unit (EAU): Over the next two years, NV5 will conduct statewide natural environment studies, historic architectural and landscape analyses, public involvement and community studies, and archaeological investigations.
