Rarely open for lunch, the steakhouse will make an exception when it opens at 11 a.m. (and stays open until 8 p.m.). Guests can enjoy a Thanksgiving feast that includes a spice-rubbed holiday turkey with grandma’s gravy, fresh cranberry-orange relish, sausage sage cornbread dressing, creamed potatoes, maple-glazed yams and roasted autumn vegetables for $42 per person ($18 for children 12 and younger). This modern Italian restaurant created by Michelin-starred chef Danny Grant, is on the 49th floor of the National in downtown Dallas. Monarch will be open from 2 p.m.– 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. They will offer the regular menu but will also have a black truffle turkey with brioche stuffing, cranberry, orange and Moscato sauce for $75.
1123 W. Davis St. (Oak Cliff)
While all other locations of Norma’s Café will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, volunteers, employees, first responders and friends donate their time serving free Thanksgiving meals to those who would not have a Thanksgiving meal otherwise. This happens only at the Oak Cliff location, and anyone who needs a meal is welcome. Doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 1 p.m., essentially three turns of the dining room table. The café also offer meals for people to take home just by showing up at the diner’s back door.

For the fifth consecutive year, The Statler will host “Thanksgiving for Your Service,” a tribute to our nation’s heroes. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., all active first responders, retired veterans, medical professionals and their immediate families are invited to enjoy a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner buffet with all of the trimmings.
