As we barrel toward the season of Christmas carols, holiday lights and mistletoe, let’s all take the opportunity to pause, even if just for a day, and give thanks for all the great things in our lives. If you’re not up for preparing a Thanksgiving feast yourself, consider making a reservation at one of these fabulous restaurants willing to do all the work for you. All you need is a reservation in advance. Then just show up and indulge. (Pro tip: Wear something with an elastic waistband).

III Forks
1303 Legacy Drive, Frisco

III Forks, North Texas’ favorite special-occasion dining destination, will celebrate Thanksgiving with a menu full of the comforting flavors of the holiday with an upscale approach. Rarely open for lunch, the steakhouse will make an exception when it opens at 11 a.m. (and stays open until 8 p.m.). Guests can enjoy a Thanksgiving feast that includes a spice-rubbed holiday turkey with grandma’s gravy, fresh cranberry-orange relish, sausage sage cornbread dressing, creamed potatoes, maple-glazed yams and roasted autumn vegetables for $42 per person ($18 for children 12 and younger). Several of the restaurant’s most popular starters, soups, salads, steaks and amazing desserts, including Kentucky bourbon chocolate pecan pie and pumpkin pie cake, will also be available. Blue Mesa Grill

Addison, Fort Worth and Plano
Blue Mesa’s signature brunch is dressed up for Thanksgiving with Latin roasted turkey marinated in a 13-spice rub with a hint of citrus, cranberry-jalapeño relish, Southwest stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes, green beans, cinnamon-roasted butternut squash and a variety of pies. All that in addition to the traditional street taco bar, omelet station, waffles, brisket, red chile salmon and more. Brunch is offered 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and is $30 per person; $10 for kids 6–11 years old, and children 5 and younger eat free. Price includes mimosas, coffee, tea, orange juice and soft drinks. Cru Food & Wine Bar

At Cru Food & Wine Bar, you can indulge in a Thanksgiving Day dinner for $52 per person (wine pairings are additional). Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a rosé hard cider followed by a chef’s amuse of butternut squash and burrata bruschetta with a honey drizzle. A savory breadbasket includes buttery pan rolls, pumpkin bread and mini cornbread muffins. For starters, choose from pumpkin ricotta ravioli, butternut squash bisque or lobster and saffron risotto. Main entrees include options such as roasted turkey breast, braised short rib or rainbow trout and jumbo lump crab. Desserts include pumpkin cheesecake, molten chocolate lava cake or crème brûlée. Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in The Colony will be serving a Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for $85 per adult and $23 for children under 12. The meal includes oven-roasted Vermont free-range organic turkey, Yukon gold creamy potatoes, butternut squash, honey collard greens, glazed carrots, green beans, challah bread herb stuffing, homemade gravy and cranberry apple chutney. Desserts are $15 each and include your choice of apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream, pumpkin pie with whipped crème fraiche, or a pecan tart with Wild Turkey bourbon anglaise and sweet cream. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. offering a 20 oz. prime rib dinner served with horseradish cream, red wine au jus and fondant potatoes for $87. Call your preferred location for reservations.

Del Frisco’s Grille

7200 Bishop Road, Plano, and 154 E. Third St., Fort Worth
Del Frisco’s Grill will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. offering a three-course meal of herb and butter roasted turkey served with mashed potatoes, brown pan gravy, buttered green beans, apple sage sausage stuffing and cranberry sauce for $52 per person. Dolce Riviera

Dolce Riviera, the Italian spot in the Harwood District, will offer a robust Thanksgiving buffet with chef-attended stations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You’ll pay $75 per adult and $25 per child. Call 469-458-6623 for reservations.

Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge

1717 Leonard St. (Downtown)
Celebrate Thanksgiving in style this year at Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge. Prepared by chef Anthony Hsia, the holiday menu includes a roasted kuri squash bisque and cold-water lobster with toasted amaretto crumble to start. For the main course, guests can enjoy a game hen duo of cranberry brined breast and porcini stuffed leg served with green bean almondine, root vegetable pave and thyme jus. To complete the Thanksgiving feast, the art-filled eatery will serve a flourless chocolate cake with candied kumquats and a cardamom anglaise. Reservations can be made via Open Table.

Fogo de Chao

Hotel Vin

Enjoy a festive feast in Grapevine at the award-winning Hotel Vin, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Bordeaux Ballroom. Celebrate with executive chef Juan Pablo Silva’s buffets of Thanksgiving favorites like a prime rib carving station, herb-roasted turkey and a lavish seafood display with freshly poached shrimp, half-shell mussels and freshly shucked oysters, plus a Mediterranean station, flambé crepe station and more. LAW Restaurant

This Thanksgiving, gather around the table at LAW Restaurant for a brunch feast that will leave you filled with great food and gratitude. Brunch reservations are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost for adults is $130 and for children under 12, it’s $50. Indulge in dishes like crab Benedict with lemon hollandaise, pepper soffritto atop shrimp and cheddar cheese grits and seared salmon, to name a few. Select from roasted turkey or garlic and herb New York strip steak paired with vegan stuffing, sage-infused gravy, sautéed mushrooms and spiced cranberry chutney. Bread and soup du jour, antipasto, farmer’s omelet and artisan cheese and charcuterie stations will fill your plate, but save room for the jumbo poached prawns, king crab legs, snow crab legs, ceviche, oysters and sushi bar.

After brunch, cue the dessert encore, which includes a holiday pie bar with pumpkin, apple streusel, cherry berry and chocolate banana cream pies; hand-dipped waffle creations topped with dulce de leche, chocolate fudge, fresh fruit or candied almonds; a spiced apple cider, hot chocolate and candy station; warm churro ice cream sandwiches; and more.

Design District gastropub Meddlesome Moth will serve a Thanksgiving Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with holiday specials in addition to select offerings from the brunch menu. The featured Moth Thanksgiving Plate includes roasted turkey breast, cornbread dressing, whipped butternut squash, smoked gouda macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce and a toasted roll ($29 per person). Moth brunch favorites including sticky buns, Mother & Child Reunion, bone-in rib eye and frites, wild mushroom omelet and chicken and waffles will be offered along with seasonal cocktails and brunch libations. Mignon

4005 Preston Road, Plano
Mignon will be serving both a traditional and nontraditional menu for Thanksgiving. The traditional meal is $59.95 per person and includes a three-course meal of turkey breast, stuffing, sweet potatoes and French green beans. The nontraditional meal is $89.95 per person, but instead of turkey and the sides, you get options like pan-roasted Chilean sea bass, Atlantic salmon, filet mignon, rib-eye, chicken or mint-crusted rack of lamb. This modern Italian restaurant created by Michelin-starred chef Danny Grant, is on the 49th floor of the National in downtown Dallas. Monarch will be open from 2 p.m.– 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. They will offer the regular menu but will also have a black truffle turkey with brioche stuffing, cranberry, orange and Moscato sauce for $75.

Norma’s Café

1123 W. Davis St. (Oak Cliff)
While all other locations of Norma’s Café will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, volunteers, employees, first responders and friends donate their time serving free Thanksgiving meals to those who would not have a Thanksgiving meal otherwise. This happens only at the Oak Cliff location, and anyone who needs a meal is welcome. Doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 1 p.m., essentially three turns of the dining room table. The café also offer meals for people to take home just by showing up at the diner’s back door.

Oceanaire Seafood

13340 Dallas Parkway (Galleria)
For $50 per person, feast on herb-roasted turkey breast filled with savory cranberry and sage stuffing paired with mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry chutney, green beans almondine and more traditional flavors at Oceanaire Seafood. Main course choices are roasted turkey, roasted beef tenderloin, grilled Alaskan halibut or swordfish. Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar

The Statler

1914 Commerce St. (Downtown)
For the fifth consecutive year, The Statler will host “Thanksgiving for Your Service,” a tribute to our nation’s heroes. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., all active first responders, retired veterans, medical professionals and their immediate families are invited to enjoy a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner buffet with all of the trimmings. The event will take place in The Statler’s restaurant, Scout, with football on the television. Reservations should be made in advance here, and complimentary valet will be provided.

From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving day at Toro Toro you can enjoy an enhanced Thanksgiving menu of signature holiday a la carte items such as Parker House rolls, butternut squash soup, axiote-seared salmon, traditional roasted turkey breast, artisanal mix greens salad and homemade pumpkin pie. These holiday items will be in addition to the regular dinner menu. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made via the website.

Toussaint Brasserie

Toussaint Brasserie is offering a Thanksgiving dine-in special including carrot soup, cranberry Waldorf wedge salad, turkey pot pie and caramel pecan cheesecake for $49.99. Truluck’s

This year, Truluck’s offers diners the opportunity to spend more time with family and less time in the kitchen. In addition to the regular menu of delicious seafood entrees, Truluck’s will present a traditional three-course Thanksgiving feast of turkey with everyone’s favorite sides and a selection of desserts. Two Mules Cantina

Featuring a special menu on Thanksgiving Day from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Two Mules Cantina is offering a Texas take on the holiday with smoked turkey drumsticks, house-made pozole and smoked brisket accompanied by traditional classics like mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and stuffing, and two standout dessert options of pecan pie or bread pudding topped with ice cream. Prices for adult plates are $26–$28; children’s plates are $12.

The Westin Galleria Dallas

A tradition returns to The Westin Galleria Dallas and The Second Floor Regionally Inspired Kitchen. Award-winning chef David Smith will craft the Thanksgiving buffet. Reservations are available on OpenTable. Seatings are at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Cost for adults is $85 per person. Children 12 and under are $45 per person and children under 5 eat free.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar will be open on Thanksgiving Day during normal business hours. The menu is a la carte. You are encouraged to make advanced reservations. Starters include either a pear, pomegranate and arugula salad or Charleston She Crab soup. For the main course, Yardbird will serve its herb-roasted turkey dinner, which includes mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry compote and giblet gravy. You can add additional sides like lobster mac & cheese, melted leek potato gratin, crispy Brussels sprouts and biscuit stuffing. Finish off your meal with the brown butter pumpkin pie.
