It’s been almost three decades since Skid Row parted ways with Sebastian Bach, ushering in a series of forgettable frontmen. Now, the band has a chance to inject some youthful energy with the powerhouse vocalist Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. However, it’s a fleeting opportunity, as Hale will only front the band for four dates.

Skid Row and Hale made the announcement together on Instagram, revealing that Hale will step in due to the departure of the band’s latest vocalist, Swedish Idol winner Erik Grönwall. Grönwall cited health concerns, particularly his immunocompromised status due to his past battle with leukemia, as the reason for leaving the band. He expressed the need to focus on his well-being and family, prompting the decision to step away from touring with Skid .
While bidding farewell to Grönwall, Skid also announced plans to commemorate his time with the band through a future live album. Despite the bittersweet circumstances, Hale is thrilled for the opportunity to join Skid Row on stage. She expressed her honor and privilege to perform with the band, alongside playful anticipation about which leather pants to wear for the occasion.
