The Redmi A3 is equipped with the Helio G36 chipset, maintaining continuity with its predecessor, the A2. Notably, Xiaomi has expanded the RAM options, offering configurations of 3 GB, 4 GB, or 6 GB. This significant boost in memory prompted Xiaomi to opt for the full Android 14, departing from the Android 13 Go edition used by its predecessors.

At the core of the Redmi A3 is a 6.71-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, featuring a 90 Hz refresh rate and protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Due to the absence of an under-display fingerprint scanner, Xiaomi has ingeniously integrated the sensor into the power key on the side. The waterdrop notch houses a 5 MP selfie camera.

The back of the Redmi A3 showcases a circular camera module, comprising an 8 MP main shooter and an unspecified auxiliary snapper. Accompanying the camera setup is an LED flash to enhance low-light photography.

Powering the Redmi A3 is a robust 5,000 mAh battery, supporting 10W charging through the USB-C port. Xiaomi has retained the 3.5 mm audio jack, catering to users who prefer wired audio connections.

The Redmi A3 is available in three color options – Olive Green, Midnight Black, and Lake Blue. The pricing varies based on storage configurations: the 3/64 GB version is priced at INR 7,299 ($87/€82), the 4/128 GB variant at INR 8,299 ($100/€93), and the 6/128 GB model is priced at INR 9,299 ($111/€104).

Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi A3 will be available for purchase starting February 23 through mi.com, Flipkart, and select Mi Home retail stores across India. The smartphone is poised to offer a compelling combination of affordability and features in the Indian market.
